India's minister of industry Kumar said the India government will announce a new stimulus in 4-6 weeks, before the government announced two stimulus policies. This is Kumar's presentation at the opening ceremony of the twenty-fourth India International Leather Exhibition held in Chennai.

Kumar added that the new stimulus policy will focus particularly on labor-intensive industries and export oriented sectors, such as textiles and leather. The focus of the government is to protect and minimize unemployment, and there is no relief policy for any special department.

The leather exhibition was organized by the India Trade Promotion Association. 392 companies attended the exhibition, including 122 overseas companies.
