Like China, there are Customs for window dressing and peach characters in the new year.

During the new year, Koreans paste couplets and New Year pictures at home.

Some people put a picture of a birthday star or fairy on the door, praying for heaven's blessing, driving away ghosts and giving happiness.

New year's Day

At dawn, people put some banknotes into the scarecrow that was pre arranged on New Year's Eve, and threw them to the crossroads to show that they had sent away evil and welcomed lucky stars.

At dusk, people burned their hair off the whole family for a year and wished their families peace in the four seasons.

In the Spring Festival, Korean women wear a new look.

On New Year's day, girls wear a hat made of hemp, called "Fu towel", wearing a colorful multicolored dress with a pattern.

They aim at a tree flower to see who will kick first or bite to win.

There are also bronze bells hanging on the heights.

During the new year, the North Koreans, apart from enjoying wine and delicacies, must also make a kind of sweet food similar to that of the eight treasures of our country with glutinous rice, pine nuts, Li Zifen, jujube mud and honey.
