Since December 15th, the six consumer products exported to Indonesia such as electrical appliances, shoes, children's toys, beverages, food and clothing will be subject to new import regulations.

It is understood that in order to protect Indonesia's domestic market and related industries, the Minister of trade of Indonesia signed the regulation No. 44/M-DAG/PER/10/2008 in October 31st, stipulates that the above 6 products must be imported by legally registered importers and imported at 5 ports and all international airports, such as Jakarta's Dan Rong Pu, San Bao long Dan Rong Emas, Surabaya Dan Rong Bei La, Mindanao bend and tin Jiangsu, Jiangsu, and so on.

The Ordinance came into force on December 15, 2008 until December 31, 2010.

In addition to specifying the import ports and international airports, the new regulations also specify the importer's registration obligations and inspection fees. Importers must import products from the government after completing the registration requirements of the above products. The registration time is about 7 days, the longest is 40 days. The importer must check the loading port before loading the goods and bear the cost on his own.

This means that Indonesian importers are likely to indirectly pfer inspection fees to domestic manufacturers and exporters, which will virtually increase the export cost of products, resulting in a decline in export profits or even withdrawal from the market.

Indonesia is one of the most important Southeast Asian export markets in Ningbo. In recent years, the product has been exported to Indonesia for a breakthrough of 100 million US dollars.

In order to ensure that Ningbo manufacture continues to occupy the huge potential market in Indonesia, inspection and quarantine experts have warned enterprises to take the initiative to understand the latest laws, policies and trends in Indonesia and take effective measures to deal with them. If contacted with importers in Indonesia immediately, the importers must have completed the registration requirements for export products and have completed the registration. Meanwhile, they will communicate with each other about the related matters and expenses of the inspection, so as to avoid the loss of export products.

On the other hand, we must take market as the guide, manufacture and export products with high added value, high technology and high safety standards, and win the market share by quality.
